Poster muscles
The poster shows the skeletal muscles of the body from the front and back on a male figure. Superficial muscles are seen on the left side of the figure and deeper muscles are seen on the right side. In addition, illustrations of the diaphragm and the muscles of the foot and hand are seen.
The text on the poster is written in English - so "m. deltoideus" is written as "deltoid m." on the plate.
Poster skeleton
The plate was drawn by Peter Bachin for the Anatomical Chart Company in 1947 and is still one of the best-selling anatomical plates in existence. The plate shows the skeletal system from three angles (front, back and side). Eight smaller images show part of a long bone, the ear bones, the bones of the wrist with ligaments (dorsal and palmar), the bones of the foot with ligaments (dorsal and plantar), the right knee joint (anterior and posterior).
A comparison between the male and female pelvis is also shown.
