Laminated poster on heart disease in English

The progression of cardiac disease in atherosclerosis is shown in three stages, each with anatomic image of the surface or cross section of the heart, a cross section of an artery, and a cross section of the heart wall. These trajectories show how a lost artery leads to ischemia; How a blocked artery leads to a heart attack (heart attack); and show the recovery period with blood supply.

The diagram also shows heart disease at high blood pressure that can lead to hypertrophy and enlargement of the left ventricle. Congestive heart failure, mitral valve loss and the effects of aging on the heart are illustrated and described. 

For comparison, the chart also contains illustrations of normal cardiac anatomy, including the front surface and cross section of the heart, the system's coronary artery on the heart, and a cross section of a normal coronary artery.
