Mini model of the stomach with a stomach ulcer

Half-size anatomical model of the stomach with a stomach ulcer. The model illustrates the stomach and part of the esophagus and the connection to the duodenum. 

The stand also includes a relief model of the stomach mucosa in an enlarged format. Several pathological conditions are illustrated;

Erythematous gastritis 

Erosive gastritis

Hemorrhagic gastritis

Healing test with scarring

Atrophic gastritis

Hypertrophic gastritis

Bleeding ulcer

Perforated ulcer

The enlarged illustration of the gastric mucosa shows the following pathological conditions:

Acute gastritis in the antral region

Erosive gastritis with mucosal defect

Bleeding ulcer (eroded muscularis mucosa)

Perforated ulcer (all stomach layers are eroded)

The model is mounted on a white plastic plate that allows it to stand.

Anatomically, a model shows the end of the esophagus (through the stomach), the entire stomach and the beginning of the duodenum.

The model focuses on the mucosa of all 3 organs, where disease is also seen. Among other things, there are inflammatory changes in various stages and bleeding ulcers.

The small complementary model shows the gastric mucosa and wall structure in high magnification, where the same diseases are in focus.

Clinically, the model is ideal for understanding the diseases / disorders that occur in the stomach with ulcers
