Practise intramuscular injection in the gluteal region
The simulator is made of a special plastic material with a feel that resembles human tissue. All relevant anatomical structures are present and palpable. The injection sites are built up in multiple layers corresponding to human anatomy, giving a natural feel during needle insertion.
The injection sites are located using the Hochstetter method. Sensors positioned away from the correct injection sites sound an audible alarm if the needle is placed incorrectly. As the model has a drainage system, injections can be performed with fluid.
The skin and the injection fields are replaceable and available separately. The simulator can be operated on battery power.
