Anatomy and injection technique in one model
The model offers two functions. The right side shows the anatomy of the upper arm and shoulder, including the bones and the muscles and nerves relevant to injection. Students can transfer the anatomy seen on the right side to the left side and practise the intramuscular injection technique there.
The most important anatomical landmarks can be palpated on the left side. The injection can be performed with fluid. A green light comes on when the injection is placed at the correct location. If it is placed anywhere else, a red light comes on and a buzzer sounds.
