Practise scalp vein puncture on an infant
Venous access in infants is challenging: the veins are small, the anatomical structures are delicate and safe technique requires practice. The model represents a life-size infant head and shows the scalp veins for puncture and injection training.
The veins are palpable and can be filled with simulated blood through a tubing system. This lets learners practise not only the puncture itself but also the step before – locating and assessing suitable veins.
The veins can be punctured many times before the model needs replacing, which makes the head well suited for repeated practice in courses, practical teaching and exam preparation. The model is compact, lightweight and quick to set up.
