Nice model of the knee joint in life size, made of patented SOMSO plastic. The following movements are possible: flexion, extension, external rotation, internal rotation. The quadriceps femoris tendon is removable from the femur so that the ligaments and meniscus are fully visible. The model is delivered on a stand that can be removed from.
Anatomically, the knee model shows part of the femur, part of the tibia (a tibia), part of the leg bone (fibula), the kneecap (patella) and both menisci in the knee joint. The bone structure is extremely realistic, and therefore clear "osseous landmarks" such as nodes and indentations are clearly seen.
Using. rubber, the model also shows many of the ligaments that belong to the knee joint.
You see the following:
Lie. collateral tibial (medial collateral ligament), lig. collateral fibular (lateral collateral ligament), lig. posterior cruciatum (posterior cruciate ligament), lig. cruciatum anterius (anterior cruciate ligament)
like. meniscofemoral posterius and a piece of the quadriceps tendon with the embedding of the patella and the continuation "including" as lik. patellae attached to the tibia.
It should be added that our customers have noticed extremely realistic details, such as the special design of the meniscus and the smooth design of the joint surfaces.
The movable model is extremely flexible and is therefore ideal for showing movements such as flexion and rotation.
In addition, the quadriceps tendon can be detached and lifted so that the interior of the knee joint with the cruciate ligament and meniscus can be studied in detail.
Clinically, the model is ideal for understanding ligament injuries (especially injuries to the cruciate ligament and collateral ligament), meniscus injuries, mice, patellas (kneecaps), patella fractures and knee joint fractures.
