Training sleeve for venipuncture in lifelike scenarios

The light skin version of the Human Vascular Access Sleeve is used to practise venipuncture and vascular access in lifelike situations. It is designed to fit most people and manikins and is held in place by hook and loop tabs above and below SurgiReal's simulated RealFlow tissue pad.

According to the manufacturer, the sleeve is made with puncture-resistant material so that the needle does not make contact with the person wearing it – all punctures are made in the tissue pad. Training can be built up in three steps: sleeve attached to a manikin, to a stationary person, and to a person mimicking real-life patient movement.
