The set contains new skin and a new vein for the baby IV training leg (R10171). The model has a very thin synthetic skin and small-calibre veins, with access to the great and small saphenous veins and the dorsal venous arch of the foot.
When the skin and vein are worn after many practice punctures, they can be replaced so the model can stay in use for teaching.
