Ultrasound-guided lumbar puncture and epidural anaesthesia
The simulator has an ultrasound-compatible puncture block with anatomically correct structures that produce a realistic ultrasound image. The block includes lumbar vertebrae with spinous, superior articular and transverse processes, the epidural space and the spinal dura mater.
The sonographic landmarks of the lumbar spine can be visualised, and the transparent block makes the needle path visible. The simulator can be positioned upright or in the lateral position, and the replacement parts are durable for multiple procedures.
The lumbar region model serves as a platform for wider training, as it can be combined with interchangeable training blocks for landmark-based and fluoroscopic procedures.
