Practical aids care aids

Care aids are products and equipment that are specially designed to make everyday life easier for people with disabilities, reduced mobility or special medical needs. They are used both at home and in healthcare and social care, and help to increase the user's independence, improve the quality of life and reduce the physical strain on healthcare professionals and relatives.

These aids play an important role in rehabilitation, preventing falls and in cases of long-term illness. With properly adapted aids, many people can continue to live an active and dignified life despite physical limitations.

Examples of common care aids:

Rollers and wheelchairs

Mobility aids that give people with reduced walking ability the opportunity to move safely and independently, both indoors and outdoors. Available in many designs depending on the user's needs.

Lifts and transfer aids

Used to lift or move people who cannot move on their own, for example from bed to chair or to the toilet. This reduces the risk of falls and relieves the caregiver of heavy lifting.

Toilet aids

Such as raised toilet seats, toilet risers, armrests and hygiene chairs. These aids make toilet visits safer and more manageable for people with reduced strength or balance.
