Dry disinfection with UV-C

The UV-C Blue is a simple, compact unit for dry disinfection of tools. It uses UV-C light at a wavelength of 254 nm, which acts on living microorganisms, without chemical solutions.

Tools should be cleaned and dry. Multi-part tools should be opened or taken apart so the light reaches the whole surface, as disinfection only works where the light falls directly. One cycle takes 45 minutes.

UV-C is a supplementary method that acts on living microorganisms but not on spores. It does not replace sterilisation in an autoclave.
